Teaching Thursdays: Butterfly Canvas

Have you noticed the footprint trend?
Footprints are a new trend that have recently popped up, and can be seen in
many craft projects. Footprint projects are perfect for kids to help create.
Their feet outlines can be used to create some wonderful shapes, and designs.
Tryout this trend by having your kids create this butterfly canvas. Kindra
Boroff created this adorable project, with the help of several Apple Barrel
paints. For once you can tell your kids to step in the paint, when doing this
project.

Web Wednesday: DIY No Dye Tie Dye

Kids love tie-dye. It is a
summer staple, and one of the first ways many kids experiment designing their
clothes. Now usually tie dye shirts or other items are made using actual dye,
well in this DIY No Dye Tie Dye project you can swap the dye for Apple Barrel
paint. That’s exactly what Rikka did with her little one. Rikka designed this
project, and you can see step-by-step how she made it on her blog, Ricochet and
Away!
