Freelance Friday: Love Canvas


Crafting with canvases are such a versatile surface to craft with. You can create so many different things, and be as creative a you want. We recently came across this Love canvas made by, Pitter and Glink. This adorable canvas are was created using several products from Plaid, including the new Martha Stewart paint, Mod Podge and Apple Barrel paint. Teaching Thursdays: Monster Candy


This monster candy project was created by one of our designers, Sherri Ragsdale. These adorable candy holders are perfect to create for this Halloween season. Your kids are going to love making these. Enjoy!



1. Cut popsicle stick and glue to the back of the square wooden pieces as shown in photo.


2. Turn over and glue the different shaped head to the neck.


3. Paint each orange, purple and green.


4. Paint the wooden circle white for the eyes.

5. Glue eye in place.


6. Use the dauber to paint the center of the eyes black.


7. Paint the mouths black and the teeth white.


8. Using the end of a paint brush add orange, purple and green dots to the bodies of the monsters.


9. Paint the corks of the bottles black.


10. Using a paint brush, wrap the pipe cleaners around to make a spiral shape.

11. Fold the curled pipe cleaners in half and twist.

12. Make a hole in the top of the corks.

13. Add glue to the holes. Stick the pipe cleaners in the holes,

14. Add candy and place cork on bottle.

15. Cut black rectangles from black paper. Cut rectangles from the scrapbook paper 3/8" smaller.


16. Glue the rectangles together. Using the black marker, write "grrr", "I won't bite" and "Don't be scared".

17. Paint three popsicle stick purple, green and orange and glue to the back of the signs.

18. Glue the sign to the monsters.

19. Glue monsters to the front of the bottles using glue for wood and glass.

Web Wednesday: Personalized Halloween Votives


Candles are a must have item during the Halloween season. They are very versatile, and can be decorated in several ways. Many people love to personalize glasses so, we decided to create a craft project where we combined personalization and candles. Check out these super cute, and super east to make Halloween votives.
