Freelance Friday: Styrofoam Dog
 Happy Friday :) Here is a great craft we found on Factory Direct Craft.
It is a great project to do over the weekend. This is great project for
kids who are longing for a pet, but may not have one yet. This is made
from easy to find materials, including Apple Barrel paint, Styrofoam,
and Felt. Also feel free to make another pet, such as a cat, and use

2nd Annual Trick Your Pumpkin Contest
 Plaid is having a contest celebrating Halloween! This year, we are
celebrating the many faces of Halloween! Here’s your chance to show us
your favorite pumpkin face and win great prizes.
We want YOU to create a three-dimensional pumpkin using your favorite
Plaid products – and there are no limits to what you can create! All
we ask is that the pumpkin be three-dimensional – this means that no
flat pumpkins are allowed – the actual pumpkin body itself must be at
least 1/8” thick. Possibilities include real pumpkins, craft pumpkins,
paper mache, clay pots, wood, fabric and more. Use your imagination and

Teaching Thursdays: Back to School Locker Pencil Holder
It's that time of year again. It's back to school time! A great way to get your kids excited to return to school, are crafts! I found this adorable locker pencil holder over on, Makes and Takes. Have your kids make their own school supplies. It allows them to be creative, and allows you to save a few bucks. This project is very easy and simple to make. It is the perfect organizing tool for your kids locker. This is a great project to make in order to not only keep your pens and pencils organized, but it also allows for easy access. This is also a project that can be reused over again for the following school year, or even around the house.
Supplies you will need:
- clean, empty tin can, label removed
- felt
- decorated or color cellophane
- tape
- hot glue gun
- alphabet beads
- embellishments, such as buttons, beads, thread, etc
- 5 button magnets
