Monday Funday: Creative Project Using Store Pins
 Super easy project from me to you today! I was wondering around the dollar store and came across this little set of pins for, you guessed it, $1!  I love the website, Dollar Store Crafts because they take inexpensive goodies and make them awesome! This is sort of my own Dollar Store craft challenge so here goes…  I set to using my punches to snap out circles, hearts, stars and what not from red and aqua papers. I'm pretty sure, I'll never tire of the red and aqua color combo. You could cut words out of magazines, use scraps of wrapping paper and all sorts of 3D embellishments for these.  Next, you'll need your trusty Mod Podge and small paint brush. Paint a layer of Mod Podge on the pin and seal with a layer of Mod Podge. Don't forget you can use Mod Podge to attach the buttons and flat-back crystals too!  And snap!!! Pin them to you favorite jean jacket or backpack and you're done! Freelance Friday: Water Balloon Flip Flops
I love it when people get creative with ordinary everyday items. Our friend Kelly over at Running with Glitter did exactly that with flip flops. She took these ordinary summer shoes, and made them into something fabulously creative. These water balloon flip flops are so amazing, and cute. Who knew that you could use balloons to jazz up these summer staples. This is an easy to make project that is sure to add tons of summertime fun to any little girl's flip flops. Teaching Thursdays: Make This Adorable Gumball Machine
Do you have a sweet tooth? I know I do! My sweet tooth was really bad when I was a kid. I was a magnet to anything sweet. Now a lot older and a little wiser, I have calmed my sugar cravings, and indulge just once in awhile. My sugar craving started to rise again when I caught a glimpse of this adorable gumball machine. This incredible craft was created by Sherrie Ragsdale. It is so cute. This is an easy to make project that all skill levels will be able to create. Make this adorable gum ball machine in only a few simple steps. You can add
anything to the inside, and if your not a candy lover this can also be a fish tank. To do this just add a plastic
fish. What are some of your favorite candies?

Supplies: Apple Barrel Paints - 20504 Black, 20503 White, 20251 Pink Parfait, Red Apple 20784, 20762 Pure Silver, 20513 Bright Yellow, 20587 Spring Green,
1528 Plaid Stencil Spouncer, 3/4" flat brush, 1/4" flat brush, 3 - 1/2" wooden block, 5 - 1/2" square frame, Wooden bracelet, 1" flower pot, 1 - 1/2" rectangle/sign, Sixteen 1" wooden balls, Large plastic ball, Glue, Fine black permanent marker
Instructions:
1. Glue the block and the frame together and then base coat with the Red Apple. Allow to dry and then glue the bracelet to the top of block. Allow to dry and the paint apple red.
2. Paint the wooden balls with Pink Parfait, Red Apple, White, Spring Green and Bright Yellow.
3. Paint the rectangle Pure Silver. Allow to dry and the add a large Black circle using the 1 - 1/4" spouncer.
4. Glue the rectangle to the front of block.
5. Using the permanent marker, outline the gum ball machine's block, base, pot and Pure Silver rectangle. Write 25 cents and draw a place to insert the coins.
 
6. Add the balls to the plastic ball and then glue to the base. Glue on the pots to cover up the balls hanger.
