Freelance Friday: Water Balloon Flip Flops

I love it when people get creative with ordinary everyday items. Our friend Kelly over at Running with Glitter did exactly that with flip flops. She took these ordinary summer shoes, and made them into something fabulously creative. These water balloon flip flops are so amazing, and cute. Who knew that you could use balloons to jazz up these summer staples. This is an easy to make project that is sure to add tons of summertime fun to any little girl's flip flops. Learn how to make this by visiting, Running with Glitter. Have you decorated some shoes? If so we would love to see them. Please send pics to infopmpblog@gmail.com.

Teaching Thursdays: Make This Adorable Gumball Machine

Do you have a sweet tooth? I know I do! My sweet tooth was really bad when I was a kid. I was a magnet to anything sweet. Now a lot older and a little wiser, I have calmed my sugar cravings, and indulge just once in awhile. My sugar craving started to rise again when I caught a glimpse of this adorable gumball machine. This incredible craft was created by Sherrie Ragsdale. It is so cute. This is an easy to make project that all skill levels will be able to create. Make this adorable gum ball machine in only a few simple steps. You can add anything to the inside, and if your not a candy lover this can also be a fish tank. To do this just add a plastic fish. What are some of your favorite candies?

It is very important to be environmentally friendly, and aware of how we can help preserve our planet. As adults its our job to teach kids at a young age the importance of being green. One great way to introduce a earth conscious lesson, is to make it apart of a craft. Take this easy to make turtle project. This was made from recycled grocery containers. We all have these lying around somewhere. This turtle is all the way green, and a great summertime project for the kids. To learn step-by-step on how to make this friendly turtle click here.
