This crafty pack of snails are on the move! Have you worked with air dry clay before? That's how the snail bodies were made. Simply find an air dry clay (I used Hearty Clay), roll out a "worm" and coil it up. Poke a hole in the side where it's head/neck will go. So easy! Set it aside in a warm spot to dry.
FolkArt paints were used to paint the clay bodies. Splash it on with a brush!
Add patterns for an even more playful snail. Snails are funny looking, aren't they?
Find a big wood bead and paint it whatever color you like. Thread a chenille stem through it and make a twirl at one end. Then cut a second shorter stem and make a twirl at the end of that for the other antennae. Paint a smile with red FolkArt paint and add wiggle eyes with Mod Podge.
They're off and running now! Well...as fast as they can anyway. You can put a magnet on the back or tuck them into a potted plant as a cheerful gift.
