Dinosaur Popsicle Stick Puzzle Project

Popsicle Stick Puzzles are gaining in popularity, with good reason. These customized puzzles are fun and easy to make! You just need some art (book illustrations or even something you created) Mod Podge, popsicle sticks, a paint or craftingbrush and a cutting tool.

Gifts for Teachers- Sweet Treats

I like to acknowledge all the hard work that is put in by my son's teachers-especially on special occasions like Valentine's Day - but don't always have the time to do something really elaborate. Here's a great way to give a gift that is both from the heart and simple to make. Pour teacher’s favorite treats in mason or similar jars and use scrapbook paper to embellish. To give the paper a super smooth shine or a little glimmer, seal with Mod Podge. There are so many variations on this idea - you can even plant a small flower or make a mini terrarium in similar jars.

Quick and Easy for Valentines' Day

Valentine's Day is one of the most exciting celebrations for little kids. They love getting and giving cards and gifts for the friends and teachers. There are so many fun ways to make Valentine's special. Here is a cute idea that uses tissue paper and Mod Podge. I think this would make a great vase for a teacher. You could even adapt the idea for a class project-just use small, plastic cups or containers!

My interview with Amy of Mod Podge Rocks

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Mod Podge Rocks blog. If you love Mod Podge( and who doesn't?) you'll flip over this blog-it is a one stop information shop for all things decoupage. I recently got to interview, Amy, the crafty lady behind the blog.

What inspired you to start your blog?

It's no secret that I love Mod Podge. When I first started decoupaging on a regular basis, I went onto the internet to find project ideas, tips and tricks. I saw that a lot of people loved Mod Podge, but I spent hours trying to find information and put it all together. My original blog goals were to provide a forum for sharing projects and Mod Podge secrets, as well as a place where I could share what I Mod Podge with the world. It has turned out to be a great community of Mod Podge lovers sharing their projects as well as what they know about the most fabulous craft of decoupage.

What types of things do you make? What do you enjoy doing the most?

I make a little bit of everything, but my favorites are storage as well as home decor items. I am a child at heart, so all of my projects have a "youthful" twist. Plus, you can never have enough storage for children!

What is the most interesting or unusual project you've seen using MP?

The most interesting is definitely a bike helmet. I NEVER would have thought of that myself.

I know you love Halloween... What are your plans for the upcoming holidays?

Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's the craftiest time of year! I will be doing a wide range of projects - I'm starting with decorating items, but I will definitely do something kid-friendly. I completely encourage children to get involved in holiday crafting. Don't be suprised if I create an entire costume from Mod Podge and household items
