What do you get when you take a recycled cardboard box and a little paint? Any "scene" you want! That's how this Halloween decoration was created. Kids will have a ball painting and collecting things for the inside of the box. Here's how it's made:
Basic supplies: Folk Art paints, a box, a few foam shapes/pieces for the inside and a paint brush.
Paint the inside of the box. Here I used Metallic Folk Art paint!
Add a bit of twinkle with a coat of Martha Stewart Crafts glitter. It's really sparkly!
How about adding some polka dot star dots too with the end of your paint brush?
Now it's time to decorate the inside! Walking around the yard is fun to see what you can put in it--twigs, rocks, acorns are just some of the things you may find. I also added a little paper ghost and some foam shapes. All of the things were secured with hot glue.
Just for fun, I added a washi tape border to the outside.
As spooky as I tried to make it, that ghost is having too much fun! Happy haunting!
